For this Cinco de Mayo, The Bagwell team wanted to dive a little into the history behind the holiday, what we learned was very educational! Cinco de Mayo is not a celebration of Mexican independence, which is a common misconception. It is in fact a day to commemorate the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. A big part of this day, like most celebrations, is food and drink.
